PROVIDE A CARWASH STATION AT U.S. EMBASSY BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NEC)

The American Embassy in Baghdad intends to award a fixed-price contract for a vendor to supply materials, labor and equipment necessary to provide a carwash station at our new embassy compound.  If you are interested in submitting a quote, please download the invitation letter and solicitation document(s) and follow the enclosed instructions.  The site visit/pre-proposal conference will take place at 10:00 on October 16, 2008.  Participants will meet at the New Embassy Compound East Service CAC on Al Khindi Street (closest entrance to the Freedom Restaurant checkpoint).  You must submit a Site Visit Registration form to BaghdadGSOProcurement@state.gov no later than 12:00 on October 9, 2008.

All firms who respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work.  At a minimum, each Offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:

• Be able to understand written and spoken English;

• Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing;

• Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work;

• Have all licenses and permits required by local law;

• Meet all local and Defense Base Act (DBA) insurance requirements;

• Have the ability to post adequate performance security, such as irrevocable letters of credit or guarantees issued by a reputable financial institution;

• Have no adverse criminal record;

• Have no political or business affiliation which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States;

• Have good experience and past performance records; and,

• Have specialized experience and technical competence required to execute the work in accordance with this solicitation.

The deadline for the submission of quotes is 17:00 on October 21, 2008. 

The Embassy will consider all quotes which are received on time and are in compliance with the terms of the solicitation.

Removal of Obstructions in the Helipad Glidepath at the New Embassy Compound (NEC) Baghdad, Iraq

This is to advise all interested parties that this solicitation issued on July 25, 2005 has been postponed.

The U.S. Government has decided to change the Statement of Work and will reissue this solicitation in the first half of September 2008.  All contractors who are interested in the solicitation are requested to check this web page daily for the issuance of the new solicitation for work on the Helipad. 

 

Reconstruction of the Air/Army Post Office (APO) Service Center in the New Embassy Compound (NEC) Baghdad, Iraq - S-IZ100-8-Q-0516

The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has a requirement for a construction firm to reconstruct the Air/Army Post Office (APO) Service Center in the New Embassy Compound (NEC) Baghdad, Iraq.  The construction effort is estimated at between $250,000 and $500,000 and needs to be completed within 63 days from Notice to Proceed.  This requirement requires demolition, masonry, electrical, plumbing, painting, locksmith and mailroom equipment installation type work to be executed.

All firms who respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work.  At a minimum, each Offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:

  • Be able to understand written and spoken English;

    Construction of bathroom in the DCMR, New Embassy Compound (NEC) Baghdad, Iraq  S-IZ100-8-Q-0502


    The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has a requirement for a construction firm to reconstruct a bathroom at the New Embassy Compound (NEC), Baghdad, Iraq.  This construction effort is estimated at between $25,000 and $100,000 and needs to be completed within 56 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.  This requirement requires masonry, plumbing and electrical installation type work to be executed.
