Fiancées and Fiancés Visas (K Visas)
If your fiancé(e) is not a citizen of the United States and you plan to get married in the United States, then you must file a I-129F petition with the United States Citizen and Immigration Service (USCIS) on behalf of your fiancé(e). After the petition is approved, your fiancé(e) can apply for a “K” visa issued at a U.S. Embassy or consulate outside Iraq. The application fee is $165.

The marriage must take place within 90 days of your fiancé(e) entering the United States. If the marriage does not take place within 90 days or your fiancé(e) marries someone other than you, your fiancé(e) will be required to leave the United States.

For more information on the application process and requirements in general, please read How Do I Bring My Fiancé(e) to the United States?

Business and Tourism Travel (B-1/B-2 Visas)
Applicants on business travel must complete application forms DS-156, DS-157, and Mandatory Iraq-Specific Supplemental Visa Form (please see Consular Forms). Applicants must also submit a valid passport, civil identification, and an appropriate color photo. The application fee is $131.00.

Like all other applicants for nonimmigrant visas, business travelers must present compelling evidence of their ties to a country other than the United States in order to qualify for a visa.
